The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were refreshed coming off their bye, but Todd Bowles' team looked like a unit that needed it to regroup against the New England Patriots in a 28-23 loss.
The Buccaneers struggled to get out of their own way, and by Baker Mayfield's admission, lacked attention to the little details, and that is what sank the ship on Sunday.
It was a game the Buccaneers could have won, but those missteps on several details allowed Mike Vrabel's team to walk out of Raymond James Stadium with a win.
And Emeka Egbuka knows there were too many self-inflicted wounds.
“Coming off a bye, you can see this happen to multiple teams,” Egbuka said. “We emphasize this week not being one of those teams that comes out slow and lackadaisical, lethargic. I don't necessarily think we played that way, we just didn't play better, didn't play our best, we didn't execute. We didn't do our jobs the right way. Baker was right when he said there's a little too much of the little things going on. Little my bads here, my bads there.
"At the end of the day, that's not going to be good enough to get a win in this league.”

Buccaneers face huge Week 11 clash vs. Bills
Tampa now has to lick its wounds, and it will be facing a Buffalo Bills team that got blown off the field 30-13 by the Miami Dolphins, so you can bet Sean McDermott's team will want retribution.
That means the Buccaneers will be walking into a buzzsaw at Highmark Stadium, as Mayfield and Co. Will look to avoid back-to-back losses.
Still at 6-3, the Buccaneers are in control of their playoff destiny, but after the Bills, the Los Angeles Rams are on the schedule, so Tampa Bay has a tough two weeks coming up.
Which means that the lack of focus on the details that plagued them against New England has to be sorted out, otherwise the Buccaneers' promising start to the season could be down the drain.
