Buccaneers' Sean Tucker has perfect message after stunning Bills performance image

TL;DR

  • Sean Tucker had a career-best game for the Buccaneers against the Bills, rushing for 106 yards and two touchdowns.
  • Tucker also contributed 34 receiving yards and a touchdown, showcasing his dual-threat ability.
  • His performance may elevate him on the Buccaneers' depth chart, potentially surpassing Rachaad White.
  • Coach Todd Bowles indicated the "hot hand" will get carries, suggesting Tucker's strong play earns him more opportunities.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker might have had one of his best games in his career in the 44-32 loss to the Buffalo Bills as he tormented Buffalo's secondary.

Tucker would rush for 106 yards and two touchdowns from his 19 carries, while also being a threat in the passing game, racking up 34 yards and a touchdown from two receptions.

But back to running the ball.

Tucker may have surpassed veteran Rachaad White in the Buccaneers' depth chart following his performance in Buffalo, and when questioned about his excellent rushing display, Tucker provided the ideal answer.

"Yeah, got to give credit to my O-line up front," Tucker said. "Those are the guys that are opening up the holes and giving me lanes to run, and showcase my abilities."

Could Tucker emerge as a crucial asset for The Bucs?

You can make the case that he's well on the way to being one.

Todd Bowles remained non-committal regarding increased snaps for Tucker, even with Bucky Irving nearing his return. Bowles stated that the player with the hot hand would receive the carries, and it's evident that Tucker currently has the hot hand.

He surpassed White in both carries and yardage, a trend we anticipate continuing in Week 12 versus the Los Angeles Rams, though the unpredictable nature of the NFL means circumstances can shift.

Either way, performances like Tucker's will only give the coaching staff a good headache, because with three good backs, they all need touches, but it is up to the players to decide who gets the most by performing well.

And right now, Tucker is in as good a form as anyone.
