The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have to figure out their quarterback situation for Week 13.

Right now, it's not clear whether Baker Mayfield or Teddy Bridgewater will play against the Arizona Cardinals.

They're doing what they can this week to get Bridgewater ready in case he has to play.

Head coach Todd Bowles told reporters Wednesday that Bridgewater will dominate the first-team reps in practice this week, given that he hasn't been getting those lately.

Mayfield left the Bucs' Week 12 game at halftime with a left shoulder injury. The ailment has been termed a sprain.

Bowles said Mayfield is sore. The Buccaneers will spend the rest of the week seeing how Mayfield responds to treatment to decide upon his Week 13 status.

Mayfield has started every game the Bucs have played since he joined Tampa Bay.

This season, the Buccaneers are 6-5, still contending for the NFC South title.

Mayfield's completion rate stands at 62.7%, with 2,406 yards thrown, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

He has also run 31 times for 216 yards and a touchdown.

Bridgewater took over for the latter portion of Week 12, completing 8 of 15 passes for 62 yards. He rejoined the Bucs early in the season after his dismissal from his high school football coaching position.
