The Seattle Seahawks walloped the San Francisco 49ers to make it to the NFC Championship game, and will now face the Los Angeles Rams for a chance to play in the Super Bowl.
They've already beaten one of their division rivals in the playoffs, and will need to do so one more time to make it to the Super Bowl.
And while the Rams are an incredible offense led by Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford, according to ESPN's Seth Walder, the Seahawks defense is the "perfect counter" to the Rams' potent offense.
Seahawks are 'perfect counter' to Rams offense
"Seattle can swerve as the perfect counter to Los Angeles' potent offense," Walder writes. "The Rams had the highest success rate on designed runs in the regular season, but the Seahawks ranked first in defensive success rate on designed runs."
While Kyren Williams and Blake Corum have made up what's been one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL, the Seahawks' run defense can shut down their run game.
The Rams are a great running team, but the Seahawks are a great run defense team. That matchup will be a big key in this matchup. But that's not all the Seahawks can do.

Their pass rush is also deadly, and with the Rams' pass protection looking shaky at times the last few weeks, the Seahawks front can get after Stafford if they can force the Rams into a passing offense.
While the offensive side of the ball for the Seahawks might be more of a question against the Rams' solid defense, the Seahawks' defense matches up very nicely with the Rams.
If nothing else, this matchup between Mike MacDonald and McVay will be an incredibly interesting one. It's one of the best defenses against one of the best offenses in the league.
While Sam Darnold and the offense will play a big role for the Seahawks, as the saying goes, defense wins championships. The Seattle defense against the Los Angeles offense is prime TV, and is the most exciting matchup of Championship weekend.
