The Seattle Seahawks played their biggest game of the 2025 campaign thus far in Week 11 but were unable to secure the victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

Quarterback Sam Darnold played a huge role in the defeat, as Darnold tossed four picks in the losing effort. However, the Seahawks still had an opportunity to win the game late, but Darnold and Co. Couldn't cash in.

Prior to joining the Seahawks this season, the narrative surrounding Darnold was that he fails to rise to the occasion in key spots, something we saw a few times during his days with the Minnesota Vikings.

There's no question his performance on Sunday will keep that narrative alive. That said, his showing against the Rams shouldn't erase what has been a very good year for the veteran signal-caller.

Now, let's see how the Seahawks' loss to the Rams impacts their standing in the NFL power rankings of experts going into Week 12.

Seahawks Week 12 NFL power rankings

Vinnie Iyer, AllSportsPeople: 8 (-2)

Iyer: "The Seahawks got clipped with Sam Darnold struggling in Los Angeles but they still had a chance to beat the Rams with field goals. Their defense continues to travel well to keep them in games every week."

Jeremy Cluff, Arizona Republic: 7 (-2)

Cluff: "Sam Darnold threw four interceptions against the Rams, and the Seahawks still had a chance to win it with a 61-yard field goal attempt at the end of the game."

Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: 6 (-5)

Johnson: "The Seattle Seahawks will be kicking themselves in this one. Sam Darnold’s turnovers and the offese’s inability to turn red-zone trips into touchdowns proved costly. Even with all of that happening, the Seahawks defense played well enough for Jason Myers to attempt the game-winning field goal. It’s a painful loss, but the Seahawks are still 7-3 and they can take out their frustrations on the Titans in Week 12."

Taylor Wirth, NBC Sports: 7 (-1)

Wirth: "Sam Darnold is fascinating. One week he can look like an MVP and the next he looks like the version of himself that was haunted with the Jets."
