The Seattle Seahawks are in the NFC Championship game, hosting the Los Angeles Rams for a chance to play in the Super Bowl. The Seahawks are favored, and it's thanks to one man.

Not a player, or a coach, but general manager John Schneider. The Seahawks GM put together an incredible offseason, which put the Seahawks in the driver's seat for the Super Bowl this season.

As the John Boyle of Seahawks.com shared, Schneider was given an award by the Professional Football Writers of America for his stellar offseason, which has the Seahawks on the doorstep of the Super Bowl.

"And for the impressive work Schneider has done to build this year's team, he was named Executive of the Year by the Professional Football Writers of America," Boyle writes.

Schneider has built an incredible team since the start of the offseason and is very deserving of this honor.

He brought in Klint Kubiak to be the offensive coordinator, and along with the additions of Cooper Kupp, Sam Darnold, and Rashid Saheed (at the trade deadline), the Seahawks new-look offense has been incredible.

Geno Smith and DK Metcalf were traded away and struggled with their new teams, while their replacements in Seattle thrived. And that's just on the offensive side of the ball.

The addition of DeMarcus Lawrence to an already incredible defense made the Seahawks unit one of, if not the best, defenses in the NFL this season.

He also nailed the NFL Draft in 2025, taking Grey Zabel and Nick Emmanwori with his first two picks. Those two players look to be franchise cornerstones for a long time.

Elijah Arroyo has had his moments this season before injury, as did Tory Horton. Jalen Milroe is a fascinating addition as well, and he could become a high-upside quarterback going forward.

It was an incredible offseason for Schneider, and he's more than deserving of this award. This offseason has turned the Seahawks into a Super Bowl contender.
