The Seattle Seahawks were able to get back in the win column in Week 12, beating the Tennessee Titans with a final score of 30-24.

Seattle's passing game put on another impressive outing in the win, as quarterback Sam Darnold passed for 244 yards and two touchdowns. A large majority of that success was due to wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba continuing his case for the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year Award.

Smith Njigba caught eight of Darnold's 16 completions for 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the win. He was able to solidify his name in the record books in Seattle's 11th game of the season.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba passes DK Metcalf for most single-season receiving yards in franchise history

Following Sunday's game, Smith-Njigba sits at 1,313 receiving yards this season, setting the franchise's single-season record. He passed DK Metcalf, who set the previous mark with 1,303 yards in 2020.

The milestone is even more notable considering Smith-Njigba has reached it in just 11 games. He is 651 yards shy of the NFL's single-season record, set by the Detroit Lions' Calvin Johnson in 2012.

Smith-Njigba is most certainly in the race for the 2025 AP Offensive Player of the Year, which was won by the Philadelphia Eagles' Saquon Barkley in 2024.

Seattle is still trying to stay in the race for the division title in the NFC West. After their win on Sunday, the Seahawks are now 8-3. They are still chasing the Los Angeles Rams (8-2), who are playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football.
