The Seattle Seahawks have broken out in a major way this season. While the defense is stifling, the offense, coordinated by Klint Kubiak, has taken a huge leap forward.

But, amid the Seahawks recent success, there's reasonable concern that a team, like the New York Giants or Tennessee Titans, could poach Kubiak for their head coaching job.

Fortunately, for any Seahawks fan worried about such a scenario, the update on the Giants' head coaching search and its relation to Kubiak from ESPN's Jordan Raanan is some good news for Kubiak staying in Seattle.

"Outside chance: Matt Burke, Klint Kubiak, Kliff Kingsbury, Ejiro Evero," Raanan noted for the Giants' head coaching search.

Kubiak being listed among these names and as having an "outside chance" of getting the Giants' head coaching job is some good news for the Seahawks.

He's not a top candidate for the Giants job, which could take a top team off the list for Kubiak this offseason. While the Titans might show interest, this Giants update is a good first sign.

Keeping Kubiak in Seattle will be huge for the team in 2026. He's helped Seattle put up the second-best offense by points-per-game, and the eighth-best in yards per game.

While the running game has been lackluster, Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba have broken out together this season, and the Seahawks have looked like a juggernaut at times.

Losing Kubiak after just one season would be a huge letdown. But the impressive work he's done is drawing head coaching interest; he could very well leave after just one year in Seattle.

However, the interest level in Kubiak for the Giants from Raanan's report is some good news. While he still has a chance at the Giants' job, it's no guarantee, and he could very well end up staying in Seattle for at least another season.
