Sam Darnold admits to not giving his "best effort" against Rams a month ago image

Thursday will be the last and most important game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams, as it could have significant implications
for who wins the NFC West and the conference's number one seed.

Both teams sit at 11-3, with the Rams owning the tiebreaker at the moment after winning the first game over the Seahawks in a tight 21-19 contest that ended with a missed 61-yard field goal by kicker Jason Myers.

For the quarterback, Sam Darnold, that turned out to be a game he would want to forget, as he threw four interceptions, which can almost guarantee a loss for your team.

Tuesday marks a calendar month since that performance, and the QB addressed it during the press conference by describing it as "obviously not his best effort." Darnold said.

Two of those turnovers ultimately led to the Rams scoring two of their three touchdowns, thanks to excellent field position.

That game was the first time Darnold had a four-interception game since his rookie season with the New York Jets, when he had four picks against the New England Patriots, which is where the infamous phrase "seeing ghosts" originated.

Now, Darnold has turned around his career for the better since that game in 2018, as he has resurrected his career in the past couple of seasons after getting another chance to start for the Minnesota Vikings after JJ McCarthy suffered a season-ending injury before the 2024 regular season.

He led the team to the playoffs before losing in the wild card to, ironically, his opponent on Thursday, the Rams. Now with the Seahawks, the same task remains: help them make a deep playoff run and beat the team that has defeated them in the last seasons.
