The Seattle Seahawks made a significant addition at wide receiver at the trade deadline after acquiring Rashid Shaheed from the New Orleans Saints.
Shaheed adds some much needed depth to the Seahawks' wide receivers room and gives quarterback Sam Darnold yet another deep threat. Adding to that, Shaheed is a seamless fit in the offensive thanks to his experience in Klint Kubiak's offense.
However, Shaheed's debut on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals is off to a quiet start. Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is Rashid Shaheed playing today?
UPDATE: Shaheed has his first official touch as a Seahawks on the team's second drive. It was a carry for 10 yards.
Yes, Shaheed is active and he even returned the opening kickoff. However, he was not targeted on the opening series and it doesn't look like he got a snap, either.
We wouldn't expect much out of Shaheed on Sunday, as it's his first game and he has had just five days to get acclimated with Darnold and Co.
We'll see if he can get going soon.
