Klint Kubiak’s influence is reshaping how the league views the Seahawks image

The Seattle Seahawks have, without a doubt, been one of the biggest surprises in this young NFL season outside of possibly the Indianapolis Colts

Really, though, it makes sense why this team has been so successful.

If you look at their quarterback, Sam Darnold, he’s coming off a career year with the Minnesota Vikings, and although he didn’t have the best showing in the playoffs, there was no reason to believe he couldn’t continue his success.

Between Darnold, a stellar defense coached by second-year head coach Mike Macdonald, and the explosion of star receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba.

One reason for both Darnold and Smith-Njigba’s incredible performances can be attributed to a savvy move the organization made to the coaching staff. The hiring of offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has revolutionized Seattle’s offense, and teams across the league are starting to take notice.

AFC source claims Kubiak took Seattle “to a new level"

In an article by The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, there was a portion where she highlighted the eyes that the NFC West has drawn in this season through both the Seahawks' and Rams' performances.

She specifically references an AFC source that she spoke with, who had opinions on both Seattle and LA.

She wrote, “Head coach Mike Macdonald ‘deserves credit for pulling the plug at OC,’ the AFC source said. ‘Kubiak has taken them to a new level.’”.

Frankly, he has. By replacing Ryan Grubb, he’s led the Seahawks to 9th in yards per game, 6th in passing yards per game, and 3rd in points per game. Mix that with Darnold being top-ten in most passing statistics and Smith-Njigba being top-five in receptions and first in yards, and the difference is clear.

The Seahawks defense will be locked in thanks to defensive mastermind Mike Macdonald, but now the offense will be humming as well, thanks to Kubiak. The secret is out.
