Head coach interviews are coming fast and furious in recent days and Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is drawing interest.

According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders and Atlanta Falcons have all requested an interview.

While it remains to be seen if Kubiak will leave or stay, USA TODAY's Nick Brinkerhoff thinks he's as good as gone.

Brinkerhoff predicts that not only will Kubiak leave for a head coach gig, he will do so with the Seahawks' division rival, the Cardinals.

"Perhaps poaching an offensive coordinator from a division rival pays off in more ways than one," Brinkerhoff said. "Kubiak coached the No. 3 scoring offense in the league this season, averaging 28.4 points per game in Seattle. For a Cardinals team in need of direction, Kubiak is an excellent fit for the job."

Losing Kubiak would be a tough pill to swallow to begin with, but losing him to a division rival on top of that would be a gut punch for the Seahawks.

While his running back usage has been frustrating at times, Kubiak has done a great job with Seattle's offense this season, with the unit ranking eighth in total yards and passing yards, 11th in rushing yards and third in points per game.

Bear in mind, those rankings come in the first year of a revamped Seahawks offense that saw the team bring in Sam Darnold to replace Geno Smith and part ways with DK Metcalf, which helped unlock Jaxon Smith-Njigba even more.

Kubiak certainly would not be the first coordinator to jump ship to a division rival, as we saw that happen just last year when Ben Johnson moved from the Detroit Lions to the Chicago Bears.

We wouldn't be too concerned about Kubiak leaving if he was a first-time offensive coordinator, but this is a job he's had with two other teams (New Orleans Saints in 2024 and Minnesota Vikings in 2021), so that increases the chances he'll leave.

Whether that's with the Cardinals or another team remains to be seen, though.
