Jaxon Smith-Njigba is finally the main man in the Seattle Seahawks' wide receiver room.

But a late add to the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints is putting his status in jeopardy.

Should you worry about Smith-Njigba's availability in week 3?

Is Jaxon Smith-Njigba playing Week 3 vs. Saints?

Jaxon Smith-Njigba was added to the injury report on Saturday with an illness. He's listed as questionable for Sunday's home game against New Orleans.

Smith-Njigba has 22 receptions for 227 yards through two games. He's a huge part of Seattle's offense and would be a massive loss.

History tells us that a late-week injury designation is not good news but an injury is also the best-case scenario. An illness is easier to play through than a bodily injury.

If Smith-Njigba was ruled out, players like Cooper Kupp and Tory Horton would take on more usage as targets for Sam Darnold.

Chances are that the star wide receiver will play but it's a situation worth monitoring.
