There have been a handful of multi-sport athletes who could play at the highest level over the years. Most notably, names like Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders immediately come to mind.
But according to a recent discussion with NBC Sports' Matthew Berry, NBA living legend LeBron James stated that he was approached by the Seattle Seahawks 15 years ago to try out at the tight end position.
"I don't know if this has ever been reported before. I asked @KingJames during our interview if any NFL team had ever made a serious offer for him to play TE in the NFL," the social media post stated. "I was shocked when he said yes! Can you imagine LeBron on Seattle??"
James, 6-8 and 250 pounds, certainly has the right size and build for the National Football League. He excelled as a tight end in Ohio before being drafted first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2003 NBA Draft as the nation's top high school player.
The rest is history, as King James has gone on to become one of the greatest hoops stars ever.

LeBron James catching passes for the Seahawks?
"During the 2010-2011 season, we had a lockout," James explains in an accompanying clip from the interview. "Pete Carroll was [coaching] in Seattle. He reached out, actually sent me a jersey, told me to come out if I wanted to have a tryout-whatever the case may be."
"So, that was a pretty cool moment for me, because my love for football, my love for the NFL, runs deep... Because it was my first love. So there was real consideration, for sure."
James, now 40 and starring for the Los Angeles Lakers, will be winding his career down soon. But in his younger years, he was a talent that fascinated NFL scouts.
James was a wide receiver and tight end at St. Vincent-St. Mary's high school in his hometown of Akron, where he was named first team all-state. As a junior, he helped lead the Fighting Irish to the state semifinals.
