The San Francisco 49ers are currently behind at halftime 13-10 in their wildcard matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

But receiver Demarcus Robinson is doing his part.

At halftime, Robinson leads all receivers with four receptions for 81 yards, with his huge 61-yard gain on the game's first drive setting up the 49ers in great field position.

And Brock Purdy then turned to Robinson again a few plays later, with a two-yard touchdown pass.

In a game that has A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Christian McCaffrey, it is Robinson who is the star of the show in the first half at Lincoln Financial Field.

It is easily the best return of the year for Demarcus, with his previous best being 44 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier in the year.

49ers lose George Kittle to injury

If there was one team who deserves a break from the injury bug, it's the 49ers, but against the Eagles, the football gods showed their cruel sense of humor.

As Kittle and Purdy connected for a six-yard pass, Kittle suffered an Achilles injury, and he was seen on a cart, getting taken off the field as the All-Pro will now likely miss the most of next season as well.

It is a cruel blow for the 49ers who need all their weapons to stay with the Eagles, and in the second quarter, lost one of their best to a devastating injury.

Sometimes football just isn't fare.
