San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is aware of the Seattle Seahawks’ efforts to limit the number of 49ers fans at Lumen Field, but he doesn’t believe the plan will be effective.
Last week, the Seahawks sent emails to season-ticket holders who listed their seats for resale, delivering a stern warning that selling tickets to opposing fans could factor into their renewal eligibility.

Despite that, Shanahan said he fully expects a strong showing from 49ers fans, whom he described as the best fanbase in the NFL.
"Our fanbase is better than anyone, to me, in the NFL," Shanahan said Tuesday. "It's always harder in the playoffs. Stadiums do a better job of giving it to their home fans. But our fans roll deep, so hopefully it will be the same as usual."

Saturday night’s divisional-round matchup will be a rematch of the Week 18 meeting, when Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald’s defense stifled Shanahan’s offense.
However, Shanahan reminded observers of his offensive acumen in the wild-card round, where he guided the 49ers to a win over the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
