The San Francisco 49ers just held on against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round, advancing to the Divisional round to face the Seattle Seahawks.
While the 49ers were able to beat the Eagles thanks to Demarcus Robinson having a surprisingly incredible game, the lack of Ricky Pearsall is a big deal for this team.
However, as Underdog NFL shared on Twitter/x, Pearsall revealed a status update for this 49ers-Seahawks game that is very good news for the 49ers.
49ers' Ricky Pearsall optimistic about Divisional round status
"Rick Pearsall (knee) said he's optimistic he'll play in Divisional round," Underdog NFL shared on Wednesday.
With a few days to go until the Saturday night showdown between Seattle and San Francisco, the 49ers got some good news on one of their top receivers.
With George Kittle done for the year with an Achilles injury, and the 49ers banged up on the defensive side of the ball, they might need to come out firing against the Seahawks in the Divisional round, and Pearsall would be a big part of that.
Pearsall played in 10 games this season, recording 36 receptions for 528 yards and no touchdowns. He's not gotten a score this season, but Pearsall has, overall, been a quality receiver when on the field for the 49ers.

Brock Purdy will need all of the help he can get against a very tough Seahawks defense, and Pearsall's return would be huge.
He's dealing with a knee injury and missed the Eagles game and the matchup against the Seahawks to close out the regular season in Week 18.
Seattle's defense won't be easy, as seen by the 49ers' play in Week 18. But, with Trent Williams back and Pearsall potentially coming back as well, the 49ers and Kyle Shanahan might be able to overcome the challenging Seahawks defense.
Pearsall is optimistic about his chances to play on Saturday, which would be some incredible news for the 49ers. He still needs to have a good week of practice, but as of now, things are looking up for Pearsall.
