49ers' Ricky Pearsall sends hilarious message on Christian McCaffrey's workload image

The San Francisco 49ers picked up a win on national television Monday night, besting the Carolina Panthers 20-9.

Running back Christian McCaffrey was the star of the show, putting up a vintage performance against his former team. The former Panther totalled 142 scrimmage yards on 31 touches, scoring one touchdown en route to the victory.

But teammate Ricky Pearsall wasn't totally impressed with McCaffrey's outing, and cracked some jokes at his expense after the game.

Ricky Pearsall wishes he could get 30 touches a game

Pearsall was asked after the game if he thinks it's tough for McCaffrey to be so heavily utilized in the 49ers' offense.

"I don't think it's tough, I mean s—, I would love 30 touches a game," Pearsall said with a smile.

"I don't think it's tough at all, honestly. He's a really good football player, and whenever the ball is in his hands or going his way, success happens. So, why not keep throwing to him, hand off the ball... I think it's really fun for him."

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan likely doesn't need his second-year receiver telling him the obvious, but it's fun to see teammates poking fun at one another in a light-hearted manner.

McCaffrey is the engine that makes San Francisco's offense hum, and he's having himself a monster season so far.

In 12 games, CMC has racked up 1581 scrimmage yards and 12 touchdowns, and the 49ers are going to continue to ride their star running back as far as they can into the postseason.
