This offseason is going to be a busy one for the San Francisco 49ers. While there will be a lot of focus on the pass rusher room, the wide receiver room is just as important.

Ricky Pearsall is a bit of an unknown due to injury issues, while Brandon Aiyuk is as good as gone, and Jauan Jennings is a free agent. Whether it's a trade, signing, or a draft pick, the 49ers will need to add to their WR in some way this offseason.

But, as pointed out by ESPN's Matt Miller, the 49ers might have some tough competition from the Buffalo Bills in the draft, and specifically, with a Texas A&M wide receiver in the first round of the upcoming draft.

"Near the end of this year's first round, KC Concepcion (Texas A&M) is an option who could fit into Shanahan's system," Miller wrote on the 49ers' wide receiver interest in the NFL Draft.

The big issue for the 49ers is that the Bills were also linked to Concepcion by Miller. "Near the end of Round 1, KC Concepcion (Texas A&M) and Denzel Boston (Washington) are two receivers who could make sense in Buffalo's offense."

Concepcion would make sense for both offenses, and with both teams having a dire need in the wide receiver room, adding Concepcion in the first round would make a lot of sense.

But for the 49ers, this would be a concerning development. The Bills are currently slated to pick one spot ahead of the 49ers in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Meaning that if the 49ers want Concepcion, and the Bills do as well, San Francisco would need to trade up to land the Texas A&M wide receiver.

Concepcion is a great option for the 49ers, as he'd be a good route runner with some incredible yards after the catch ability. This season, he's racked up 449 yards after the catch, 26th best in the nation.

Competing against the Bills for Concepcion might prove to be tricky, but with how great a fit he could be in the Kyle Shanahan offense, it might be worth trading an extra draft pick or two to guarantee they land this young wide receiver.
