49ers injury report for Week 17: Ricky Pearsall and George Kittle highlight news image

A lot is going to have to go right for the San Francisco 49ers to have a chance at winning the NFC West title.

Week 17's matchup will be against one of the top teams in the NFC, the Chicago Bears. Depending on how that goes, the 49ers may have a chance at the division title in Week 18 against the Seattle Seahawks.

San Francisco will have to keep winning for their chance while dealing with some key injuries to players.

George Kittle, Ricky Pearsall highlight 49ers' Wednesday injury report

In preparation for the Chicago Bears, San Francisco listed George Kittle (ankle), Yetur Gross-Matos (hamstring), Christian McCaffrey (rest), and Trent Williams (rest) as players who didn't practice on Wednesday.

Ricky Pearsall (ankle, knee) and Renardo Green (neck) were limited, NBC's Matt Maiocco reported.

Kittle, 32, exited early in the 49ers' 48-27 win over the Indianapolis Colts. The Pro Bowl tight end has already missed five games earlier this season with a hamstring issue.

Through 10 games, Kittle has 52 receptions for 599 yards and seven touchdowns.

Pearsall, 25, picked up an ankle issue that has been tacked on to the knee problem he's been dealing with all season. In eight games this season, the second-year receiver has 32 receptions for 443 yards.

Gross-Matos, 27, is slowly progressing from a hamstring injury that resulted in him landing on injured reserve earlier in the season. The Penn State alum returned on a snap count in Week 16.

Green, 25, missed last week's game with his neck injury. He's participating in practice, which is a good sign for the second-year corner.

As for McCaffrey and Williams, the veterans are getting the day off and are expected to be available in Week 17.
