The San Francisco 49ers have checked off two of their three contract extension boxes.
First was tight end George Kittle. Brock Purdy joined the party on Friday with a $265 million deal.
All that's left is Fred Warner.
The superstar linebacker is on a similar timeline to Kittle, a veteran seeking one final huge payday after years of stellar service to the 49ers.
There has been no inkling of struggle in these negotiations. It just makes sense that San Francisco would get Purdy's contract figure locked in so they knew exactly what they were working with at the table with Warner.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler suggested a deal was imminent on Friday evening on X:
"Next on the docket for San Fran: Fred Warner," Fowler wrote.
Warner might be the best linebacker in football.
He's certainly the heart and soul of San Francisco's defense.

The 49ers can't afford to let any kind of drama enter into a deal with Warner.
They've succeeded in two out of three negotiations. Even in an offseason with lots of departures, it all could be considered a success if Warner signs on long-term, too.
