The San Francisco 49ers put up a ton of points on Monday night, with a ton of production from their star players, and with Week 16 being the fantasy football playoff semifinals in most leagues, it potentially swung a lot of matchups in a different direction.

Those who were relying on Christian McCaffrey, or playing against him, had to deal with a huge swing late in Monday's game.

Brock Purdy threw a sweet pass to backup tight end Jake Tonges, who dove toward the side of the end zone, caught the ball, and then maybe  got his two toes to hit the ground before going out of bounds.

On the field, the play was ruled incomplete. Replays made it look like it might be worth challenging, but the 49ers didn't challenge.

Instead, Purdy ended the drive by throwing a touchdown to McCaffrey instead.

Tonges likely was in zero fantasy lineups in any sized league. CMC would've been in a lineup in every league.

So that 9-yard touchdown, basically seven or eight points depending on PPR scoring or not, may have sent you to the championship, or sent you home.

McCaffrey had a big night anyway, but it could've been bigger. The 49ers mostly let Purdy cook, and he threw five touchdowns, rather than CMC ending four or five drives with his own TDs as the 49ers did whatever they wanted.

But he got a touchdown there that could've gone to Tonges, and that may have been a huge difference maker.
