There are officially good vibes in San Francisco.
No one was sure whether Brock Purdy would report to the opening of the team's offseason program on Tuesday, but the 49ers QB was there.
And in the midst of contract negotiations, that seems to suggest both sides are moving in the right direction.
What does that mean for Purdy's salary? It probably means he's going to compare favorably to a Super Bowl champion quarterback, specifically the most recent Super Bowl champion quarterback.
The Athletic's Michael Silver has already reported that Purdy and the 49ers are looking at a deal in the $50 million per year range.
Currently, the 10th-highest paid QB in the league is Eagles star Jalen Hurts, at $51 million per year.

Both in terms of ranking and in terms of dollar value, that feels about right for Purdy based on the reports.
If the 49ers were aiming much lower than that, it seems like Purdy may have opted to stay home Tuesday.
If Purdy wanted way higher than that, he might've stayed home Tuesday, too.
But the sides are apparently at least somewhat on the same page, and that likely means a deal resembling Hurts.
The next step for Purdy and the 'Niners, of course, is to try and do what Hurts just did and get a Lombardi Trophy.
It might not be easy given the departures of a number of key 49ers this offseason, but starting with this week's draft, a new build starts.
And as long as the 49ers have a solid quarterback, they'll have a chance of putting a team on the field that can win a lot of football games.
