The Week 4 status of Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren is up in the air after the team listed him as questionable on the final injury report ahead of the game versus the Minnesota Vikings.
For the first time this season, Warren was on the Steelers' injury report this week with a knee issue and he was limited for all three sessions before drawing the questionable tag.
On the day before the historic game in Dublin, Ireland between the Steelers and Vikings, ESPN's Adam Schefter offered an update on Warren.
Will Jaylen Warren play in Week 4?
Schefter is reporting that Warren is expected to play against the Vikings on Sunday.
"Steelers RB Jaylen Warren, who was added to the injury report on Friday with a knee injury, is expected to play Sunday in Dublin vs. the Vikings, per league source," Schefter wrote.
Schefter notes that fellow running back Trey Sermon has been elevated from the practice squad for the game, which on the surface could be a troubling sign for Warren.
However, that move was made to give the Steelers a replacement at kick returner after rookie Kaleb Johnson lost the job following his blunder in Week 2. Alongside Kenneth Gainwell, Sermon served as a returner in Week 3.
After a quiet Week 1, the Steelers have gotten their lead back more involved over the last two games. Warren went from 13 touches in Week 1, to 18 in Week 2 and then 23 in Week 3.
Considering Warren came away with an injury after seeing such a heavy workload, don't be surprised to see Pittsburgh scale his touches back a bit. However, he will continue to lead the running backs room in touches as long as he's healthy.
