The Pittsburgh Steelers are falling apart late in the season once again, as the team dropped to 6-6 after a home loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 13.

Pittsburgh has now lost three of its last four games, and with quarterback Aaron Rodgers playing through a serious wrist injury, things aren't looking bright for the Steelers as the calendar turns to December.

Additionally, Pittsburgh is in a dogfight for the AFC North. Just a few weeks ago, Mike Tomlin's squad was the heavy favorite to win the division. Now, they aren't even in first place through 13 weeks.

AFC North standings

1. Baltimore Ravens (6-6)

2. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6)

3. Cincinnati Bengals (4-8)

4. Cleveland Browns (3-9)

Sunday's defeat to the Bills has the Steelers in second place in the AFC North, as the Baltimore Ravens hold the tiebreaker due to a better record in common games.

Pittsburgh has a lot of work to do over the next few weeks to get back in first place in the division. The Steelers will play Baltimore twice, once in Week 14 and again in Week 18. These games will likely decide the AFC North champion, unless the Cincinnati Bengals go on a magical run to end the year and get some help.

AFC playoff picture

Additionally, Pittsburgh is now on the outside of the AFC playoff picture. With the Ravens taking over the AFC North lead, the Steelers are ninth in the AFC, meaning they would miss the playoffs if the season ended today.
