The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens had a massively important showdown in Week 14 at M&T Bank Stadium.

The winner would leave in first place in the AFC North, while the loser would end up on the outside looking in when it comes to a playoff spot.

In what was their first meeting this season, the Steelers managed to emerge with a victory over the Ravens, 27-22, in a game that went down to the wire.

With the victory, the Steelers now move into first place in the division and into the No. 4 spot in the conference playoff picture.

Meanwhile, the Ravens are now in second place in the AFC North and in the No. 10 spot in the conference.

Here's a closer look at both the AFC North and conference playoff picture after Sunday's results.

AFC North standings

1. Pittsburgh Steelers 7-6

2. Baltimore Ravens 6-7

3. Cincinnati Bengals 4-9

4. Cleveland Browns 3-9

With the win, the Steelers move into first place in the AFC North going into Week 15 and the Ravens fall to second place.

Pittsburgh owns the head-to-head tie-breaker temporarily, but there is still one more game between the Steelers and Ravens in Week 18.

The Steelers also now own the advantage in divisional record, which is the second tie-breaker. Pittsburgh is sitting at 3-1 in the AFC North as compared to Baltimore's 2-2 mark. Both teams still have two more divisional matchups.
