The Pittsburgh Steelers were reportedly supposed to be "aggressive" ahead of the Tuesday trade deadline, but apparently they weren't aggressive enough.

The rumor about the Steelers' aggressiveness came from Bleacher Report's NFL insider, James Palmer, who said this before deals started going down on Tuesday.

"I've been hearing Pittsburgh is definitely out there being aggressive," Palmer said. "They are looking at different players."

Well, after Palmer said that, the Steelers watched the Jacksonville Jaguars acquire Jakobi Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks land Rashid Shaheed from the New Orleans Saints.

What makes that more frustrating is the fact that both players came at a reasonable price. Meyers fetched fourth- and sixth-round picks, while Shaheed garnered two picks, as well, one fourth-rounder and one fifth-rounder.

How the Saints got more for Shaheed than the Raiders got for Meyers is puzzling, but I digress.

Considering how dire of a need the Steelers have at wide receiver, and considering the fact that Pittsburgh is loaded with picks, including three third-rounders and two fourth-rounders, there should've been no issue pulling off either one of those trades.

As of this writing, general manager Omar Khan still has a few hours left, but it's feeling more and more like Pittsburgh won't do anything major and instead he'll land Mike Williams 2.0 or nothing at all.
