Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers' potential last pass was a touchdown... for the Texans image

If Monday night's final pass was the last pass of Aaron Rodgers' NFL career before retirement, it sure was quite the way to end.

The Pittsburgh Steelers' 42-year old QB threw a touchdown to the Houston Texans, a pick-6, as his final action in the season-ending defeat in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

Rodgers actually tried to earn one more stat -- he tried to make a tackle.

But the returner bounced off him en route to the end zone.

Mason Rudolph took over for the closing minutes. Rodgers watched on the sideline in his winter hat on a cold night in Pittsburgh.

The Texans finished with 30 points. The Steelers finished with 6.

Rodgers had done well to get Pittsburgh to the playoffs. He'd led clutch drives late against Baltimore even to have a chance to squeak in when that late field goal missed.

But on this night, the fierce Houston defense was just too much. Even an in-his-prime Rodgers would've had his work cut out for him.

And this Rodgers, with less mobility and arm strength than ever, is far from his prime.

It meant that he couldn't avoid danger on what might've been the final pass of his NFL career.

If Rodgers retires, it'll be tough to forget this moment anytime soon.
