The Pittsburgh Steelers are off to a strong start, especially Aaron Rodgers, who is proving the doubters wrong. Rodgers has established a connection with DK Metcalf, and for the most part, the offense seems to be clicking. Former NFL QB Tom Brady had to give Rodgers his flowers.

“Beyond impressed," Brady said of Rodgers' play so far this season during an appearance on FOX NFL Sunday. "I think at that age, there are so many other factors that come into play about how to be a great quarterback. We all want to talk about what happens in the offseason with him and there's some things that are — there's a lot of narratives out there. There's a lot of [retreats]. It's a little different.”

Rodgers is looking to go out with a Super Bowl win. This is expected to be his last year, as he has already been adamant that his time is coming very soon.

“Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is it," said Rodgers. "That's why we just did a one-year deal. Steelers didn't need to put any extra years on that or anything, so this was really about finishing with a lot of love and fun and peace for the career that I've had.”

With Rodgers likely leaving at the conclusion of this season, Saturday Blitz’s mock draft has the Steelers selecting Garrett Nussmeier.

“Signing Aaron Rodgers was clearly putting a band-aid on the problem but the Steelers are going to have to take a swing on a quarterback. The Steelers land LSU star Garrett Nussmeier here as he was expected to be competing for the top pick in the draft but hasn't played to the expectations. Nussmeier has dealt with an injury all season but it's still clear he's a first-round talent when healthy,” Nicholas Rome wrote.

Nussmeier hasn’t been all that impressive this season, falling short of the hype built around him. There is still plenty of time left in the season to move up the board, but for now, this is where he falls.

The Steelers have done everything to assemble the best team around Rodgers, and when it is his time to go, Nussmeier could possibly inherit that squad.
