Steelers make multiple injury updates, with Aaron Rodgers' Week 12 playing question still in air image

The Pittsburgh Steelers provided multiple positive injury updates on Saturday.

Aaron Rodgers, though, is still a question mark as to whether he'll play in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears or not.

First, the good news:

  • DT Cam Heyward has been upgraded from questionable and is off the injury report.
  • CB Darius Slay has been upgraded from questionable and is off the injury report.

The Steelers' defense will be a lot closer to full strength with those two veterans out there to try and slow down second-year QB Caleb Williams.

Pittsburgh didn't make any changes to Rodgers' injury status. He's still listed as questionable.

Rodgers has a fracture in his left wrist and wore a stabilizer on it at practice leading up to Week 12.

In his career, Rodgers is 24-5 against the Bears, so he surely wouldn't mind playing.

Pittsburgh has to weigh this one week with the remainder of the season when figuring out what to do with Rodgers.

His backup is Mason Rudolph. That's who would get the start if Rodgers can't go.

Behind Rudolph is Will Howard, the sixth-round rookie from Ohio State.

It seems likely that Rodgers' status will come down to Sunday morning before the Steelers play the Bears. It could have a big impact on what happens in that game and how it affects the playoff picture in both conferences.
