The Pittsburgh Steelers didn't have running back Jaylen Warren for the Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin due to a knee injury.

It initially looked like Warren would suit up despite being on the injury report, but the Steelers decided at the last minute to play it safe and sit their No. 1 running back.

Coming out of the Week 5 bye, the Steelers got some good news on Warren, who was spotted taking part in individual drills at practice on Monday, according to Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

"Jaylen Warren back in individual drills at Steelers practice today after missing Week 4 in Dublin," Batko reported.

This puts Warren on track to suit up in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns.

Of course, the Steelers will always prefer to have Warren in the lineup, but they did not need him one bit in Week 4.

That's because fellow running back Kenneth Gainwell went nuclear on the Vikings, finishing with 19 carries for 99 yards and two scores and six catches for 35 yards.

That has led some to wonder if Gainwell might challenge Warren for the RB1 role, but that is unlikely to happen. The Steelers believe in Warren and he is going to continue to serve as the lead back for the foreseeable future.

What Gainwell's performance could do is garner him more consistent work, which would cut into Warren's workload. That would also be bad news for rookie Kaleb Johnson, as he'd have even less opportunities to get the ball than he does now.
