The Pittsburgh Steelers have finally gotten a commitment from quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and nobody is going to hate that more than franchise legend Terry Bradshaw.

NFL Network's insiders reported on Friday that Rodgers has told the Steelers he is indeed signing with them, and will do so by Friday, which comes just days before Pittsburgh begins mandatory minicamp on June 10.

While this has been the expected outcome for quite some time, Rodgers took a long time to make his decision, citing personal reasons and his mulling retirement.

Throughout the dragged out process, frustrations from fans, media and even former players boiled over and it was clear Rodgers had, to the fullest extent, tried the patience of everyone who follows the NFL.

One of the most frustrated people in this whole thing was Bradshaw, who went off on both Rodgers and the Steelers for what had transpired.

"That's a joke. That is, just to me, is a joke," Bradshaw said of the Rodgers-Steelers waiting game on 103.7 The Buzz in Arkansas last month. "What are you going to do? Bring him in for one year, are you kidding me?

"That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there," Bradshaw concluded.

Aaron Rodgers-Terry Bradshaw beef explained

Bradshaw's recent comments weren't the first time he's slammed Rodgers. The Hall of Famer was critical over Rodgers' response to a question about whether or not he received the COVID-19 vaccine back in 2021.

Rodgers said he was "immunized," which many took as a "yes" answer to the question. It was later revealed that Rodgers did not get the jab.

"I’ll give Rodgers some advice: It would be nice if he came to the Naval Academy and learn how to be honest," Bradshaw said. "Learn not to lie because that’s what you did, Aaron."

"We are a divided nation politically. We are a divided nation on COVID-19 — whether or not to take the vaccine — and, unfortunately, we got players that pretty much only think about themselves, and I’m extremely disappointed in the actions of Aaron Rodgers," Bradshaw added.

Listen, we get it, the 2025 Rodgers-Steelers saga was absurd and went on for far too long.

However, the Steelers backed themselves into a corner and had no choice but to wait on Rodgers, who was clearly their best option, no matter how much some Steelers fans and Bradshaw don't want him.

Sorry for the Mason Rudolph and Kirk Cousins believers out there, they are not better than Rodgers, even at 41 years old.

Now, it'll be interesting to see what Bradshaw has to say in the wake of the signing, and what Rodgers will have to say about Bradshaw's comments. We'd venture to guess that question will be asked when he first addresses the media, which will likely come during mandatory minicamp, at the latest.
