The Baltimore Ravens are in big trouble after they revealed quarterback Lamar Jackson's injury designation for Week 17 on Thursday.
According to Baltimore's official injury report, Jackson, who is dealing with a back injury, is listed as doubtful for the crucial contest against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday after he failed to practice all week.
The doubtful tag makes Jackson highly unlikely to play. We've seen players beat the doubtful tag before, but it's extremely rare.
If Jackson can't go, the Ravens will be forced to start Tyler Huntley, who would amount to a massive downgrade from Jackson.
This is obviously terrible news for the Ravens, who must beat the Packers in order to keep their postseason hopes alive.
On the flip side, this is great news for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who will clinch the AFC North title if the Ravens lose.
Pittsburgh has another avenue to clinch the division this week and that involves a win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
The Packers have quarterback injury concerns of their own, as both Jordan Love and Malik Willis are questionable with a concussion and shoulder injury, respectively.
Love remains in the concussion protocol entering the weekend but still has a few more days to be cleared. Meanwhile, Willis has said he expects to play.
