The NFL trade deadline came and went on Tuesday afternoon and the Pittsburgh Steelers remained silent the whole way through.

Despite their need for a wide receiver, the Steelers did not end up acquiring one as two different players were moved.

The Las Vegas Raiders sent wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars for fourth- and sixth-round picks, and the Seattle Seahawks acquired Rashid Shaheed from the New Orleans Saints for fourth- and sixth-round selections.

Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly provided some insight into why Pittsburgh didn't end up pulling the trigger on any wide receiver trade.

"Price just hasn't been right," Kaboly wrote.

"Remember, Steelers traded GP for a third rounder and he had tremendous upside and an entire year on his contract -- not a 2 month rental with less upside. Perspective," Kaboly added.

Now, the Steelers will rely on DK Metcalf and a bunch of question marks for the rest of the 2025 campaign, which leaves them one Metcalf injury away from being in a really precarious spot.

Pittsburgh will hope guys like Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin can step up to shore things up at wide receiver.

With the trade deadline in the books, the Steelers' only acquisition was safety Kyle Dugger, who was acquired in a trade with the New England Patriots.
