Decline is expected for a 41-year-old quarterback like Aaron Rodgers, and that's especially true when we saw him struggle with the New York Jets last season.
But not so fast, my friends.
ESPN analyst and former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Ryan Clark revealed he had a conversation with Rodgers' favorite wide receiver, Davante Adams, who is now with the Los Angeles Rams, and it was a positive one for Rodgers' 2025 outlook.
Clark said that Adams, who was with Rodgers in New York, told him Rodgers began looking better toward the end of last season.
"I actually hung out a little bit with Davante Adams yesterday. We were having a conversation conversation and he was saying, 'People comparing Aaron Rodgers to some of the bottom-half of the quarterbacks in the NFL have absolutely lost their minds,'" Clark shared on ESPN's Get Up.
"He said, 'Being in that building with him towards the end of the season, you could start to see it coming back for Aaron Rodgers, the future Hall of Famer.'"
Of course, Rodgers was coming back from a torn Achilles last season, and it typically takes player awhile to get back to feeling like themselves after returning to the field.
So, it's no surprise that Rodgers got off to a rough start. It was abundantly clear, however, that Rodgers did improve as the year progressed. The eye test and his statistics showed that.
