The Pittsburgh Steelers breathed a huge sigh of relief following an injury to quarterback Aaron Rodgers last week.

Rodgers suffered a small fracture in his wrist in Week 11, but thankfully the injury is not considered a long-term issue and the veteran quarterback may not miss any time.

However, Rodgers' status for Week 12 has not been confirmed yet.

After not practicing on Wednesday, Rodgers turned in two limited sessions to close out the week before drawing a questionable tag on Friday.

Here's what we know about his status for Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

Is Aaron Rodgers playing today?

UPDATE: According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Rodgers will not play in Week 12.

"Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers has been pushing to play against the Bears, but in the end, it was too quick, per me and Tom Pelissero," Rapoport reported. "Rodgers should play next week, but the turnaround was just too quick. Mason Rudolph starts against the Bears."

END OF UPDATE

Rodgers' status remains uncertain on Sunday morning.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Rodgers is "pushing to play," but a decision will be made right before game-time on Sunday.

"Aaron Rodgers, who has been pushing to play all week despite a fracture in his left wrist, is hoping to take the decision up to game time," Rapoport said. "Doctors have been cautious, but Rodgers wants to go and believes he can protect himself."

If Rodgers can't go, Mason Rudolph will take the reins as Pittsburgh's starter.

We'll get a definitive answer on Rodgers' status an hour and a half before the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, when the Steelers release their list of inactives.

Aaron Rodgers start or sit advice for Week 12

You may be faced with the decision to start Rodgers with some fantasy-relevant quarterbacks on a bye this week.

On the surface, Rodgers seems like a solid starting option, as the Bears are ceding the fifth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks in 2025.

However, Rodgers ranks as QB25 overall in fantasy points per game this season and he'll be playing through a wrist injury if he does suit up, which could hamper his performance. Not to mention, one big hit could knock him out of the game.

There are just too many concerns here to trust Rodgers in lineups this week.

Verdict: Sit
