Lane Johnson gets injury designation from Eagles ahead of wild-card game vs. 49ers image

The Philadelphia Eagles have been without All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson since Week 11 due to a Lisfranc injury.

Johnson hasn't played since November, and Philadelphia is missing the presence of its dominant tackle. However, Johnson practiced all week ahead of the Eagles' wild-card round matchup versus the 49ers.

With Philadelphia set to host San Francisco on Sunday, the team finally handed Johnson an injury designation, which could set the stage for his return after a seven-game absence.

Will Lane Johnson play in wild-card round?

The Eagles officially listed Johnson as questionable for Sunday's playoff game versus the 49ers.

Despite the questionable designation, 94WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks believes Johnson will end up playing.

"Surprised to see Lane Johnson as questionable but I do think he will play," Shorr-Parks said on X.

Getting Johnson back on the offensive line would be a major development for Philadelphia. The Eagles' offense is noticeably better when the six-time Pro Bowler is on the field.
