Eagles predicted to trade QB to Dolphins to replace Tua Tagovailoa image

The Philadelphia Eagles' season ended on Sunday, a failure to defend their Super Bowl title.

The San Francisco 49ers moved on from the Wild Card Round by winning in Philly, and it sends the Eagles into an offseason of decisions.

What changes get made with the coaching staff?

What happens to A.J. Brown?

Do they re-sign tight end Dallas Goedert from free agency?

But there's even more that could happen, too.

ESPN's Ben Solak is predicting a QB trade for Philly, writing this in a new article on Monday:

"The quarterback factory spits out another trade, as the Eagles will deal QB2 Tanner McKee to the Dolphins in exchange for a middle-round pick. Somehow, this deal eventually gets folded into another team-saving trade just before November's trade deadline."

McKee was elevated into the backup role in Philly this season.

The 6-foot-6 QB from Stanford was a sixth-round pick in 2023.

He started in Week 18 and was 21-for-40 for 241 yards with one TD and one INT.

McKee won his lone start a season ago.

At 25 years old, McKee would be a decent gamble as the Dolphins try to replace Tua Tagovailoa, but it's unlikely they could view him as their lone option to do that. He could at least serve as some competition.
