The Philadelphia Eagles' tight end depth chart may be completely empty when free agency rolls around.
As of midway through the 2025 season, that's how things stand.
Dallas Goedert will be a free agent.
Grant Calcaterra will be a free agent.
Kylen Granson will be a free agent.
Goedert, who will be 31, could come back. The Eagles like the other guys, too. It seems probable at least one gets a new contract to stay in Philly.
But it's also an interesting blank slate. The Eagles could decide to move on and pursue someone else.
There'll be one tight end free agent whose name attracts more attention than any other: Kyle Pitts.
The Falcons don't seem likely to re-sign Pitts at the price he might cost, and while the Eagles don't necessarily have the most cap space in the league, there are ways of making things worth.
Pitts hasn't ever lived up to his massive rookie season, but he's an impressive athlete and could do well to finally get a change of scenery.
That may not be the direction the Eagles wind up in, but it's intriguing to consider.
The pending tight end free agencies in Philadelphia in general allow for lots of speculation. The Eagles will have a blank slate with which to work.
