Brandon Graham has been around for many Philadelphia Eagles playoff runs, with three of them including Super Bowl appearances.
The veteran pass rusher has seen it all.
Although Graham started the 2025 NFL season as a retired member of the team, he eventually reversed his decision and suited up for the Eagles once again in hopes of helping the team go on another run.
Next week, the Eagles will host the San Francisco 49ers for the Wild Card Round.
Brandon Graham Reacts to the Opponent
“That’s cool,” Graham said when he found out from reporters.
Heading into Sunday’s finale against the Washington Commanders, the Eagles had three potential opponents on the line for next week. Beyond the 49ers were the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams.
With a loss against the Commanders, the Eagles were knocked off the second seed. Since the Cardinals fell way short against the Rams, the 49ers and the Eagles locked in a matchup. At this stage, Graham doesn’t sweat any opponent.
“We know we’re going to have to see everybody, whoever we see, it’s all about what we do,” Graham explained. “I’m thankful we get to go up against a good opponent. If we want it, it won’t come easy. We got to go take it. We just got to stay together.”
The 49ers finished the season with a 12-5 record. They competed in a tough NFC West, which includes the Rams and the Seattle Seahawks.
“We gotta stop their run—Christian McCaffery,” said Graham.
“On top of that, [Brock] Purdy has been doing a great job since he’s been back. On the offensive side, I know that they are going to make sure they have a great showing. We just got to be us. Bring the energy and play fast on defense and put the offense in a great position.”
The Eagles’ defense has by far been their biggest strength this season. They will have a hard test week in and week out, no matter what, from here on out.
“We know the 49ers are going to come here and try to get one on our field, and we just have to make sure we defend it.”
