The Philadelphia Eagles have made a final decision on wide receiver A.J. Brown and running back Saquon Barkley.
Both Barkley and Brown were on the injury report this week after Brown sat out in Week 8 and Barkley tweaked his groin in the same game against the New York Giants.
But, as was expected when both players started off the week as full participants in practice on Thursday, Barkley and Brown have been removed from the injury report and carry no designation for Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers.
Brown's and Barkley's injuries happened at just about the perfect time, as the Eagles had a bye in Week 9, so both players had an extra week to rest up and get right without the danger of missing a game.
Brown is in the midst of a disappointing season with just 395 yards through seven games. His role has been inconsistent, at best, which has led to some turmoil in Philadelphia.
Despite no shortage of speculation, Brown was not dealt at the deadline, but one has to wonder if the Eagles will consider doing that in the offseason, when they actually have time to replace him.
Barkley is also in the midst of a down season, as he's averaging just 64.9 rushing yards per game this season, which is a little more than half the 125.3 he averaged last season.
Barkley, Brown and their fantasy football owners will hope for better things in the second half of the season.
