We wish we could say slow starts are rare for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith, but that has not been the case this season.
Smith and fellow wideout A.J. Brown have not been as involved as expected this year and that has reportedly led to some dissension in the ranks.
So far in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos, the squeaky wheel isn't getting the grease. Here's what's going on early on Sunday.
Is DeVonta Smith playing today?
UPDATE: Smith has his first catch of the game late in the first quarter.
Yes, Smith is active, healthy and in the lineup, he just hasn't been targeted yet.
The Eagles went three-and-out on the opening series, so there wasn't much of an opportunity for him to get a look. Brown did get a target and catch, though.
Hopefully Smith gets going soon.
