There is never a dull moment with A.J. Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles. After losing two straight games, the Eagles' offensive dysfunction is becoming too much for some to handle. Specifically, it looks as if Brown is about to boil over, and potentially get traded at any moment.
Following the loss to the Giants, Brown was asked about the meeting he, Jalen Hurts, and Saquon Barkley had. Brown then said he wasn't familiar with the meeting in question over and over again.
"A.J. Brown asked about the meeting with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley this week repeatedly says he didn’t recall any meeting," Mike Garafolo reports on X. "When told Hurts and Barkley confirmed it, he says you’d have to talk to them. As for the Eagles’ offense: 'We’re still trying to find our identity.'
Brown took to X on Friday to clarify what he meant.
"Just to clear this up," Brown posts. "That wasn’t a meeting or a sit-down. I said “I don’t recall” because it got painted like there was tension and Sa had to step in. That’s not true. I was walking to my car, saw them, and stopped to talk. Nothing more."
The constant drama with Brown can only last so long before it reaches an end. Whether that is a trade, which looks more and more likely by the day, or the offense gets back on track with Brown putting up big numbers, the distractions must end.
