The Tampa Bay Buccaneers avoided overtime in Week 1 against the Falcons thanks to Younghoe Koo's missed field goal at the end of the fourth quarter.
Tampa Bay is the only 1-0 team in the NFC South and will now play the 0-1 Houston Texans of the AFC South. This non-conference game will be a matchup between Baker Mayfield and C.J. Stroud.
Mayfield led the Buccaneers in passing (167 yards) and rushing (39 yards) in Week 1. It wasn't pretty as he completed just 17 of 32 passes, but he did score three touchdowns. Two scores went to rookie Emeka Egbuka, with the third going to Bucky Irving.
Stroud's squad was severely underwhelming, losing to the Rams 14-9. Stroud completed 19 of 27 passes for 188 yards and rushed for 32. He didn't score a touchdown and threw one interception.
On the bright side, the Houston defense limited Los Angeles to 14 points.
