Spearheaded by Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts, the Eagles may possess the greatest ground attack in the NFL.
But that doesn't mean they aren't searching for reinforcements, though.
Philadelphia added to its impressive collection of runners on Monday, acquiring RB Tank Bigsby from the Jaguars, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Bigbsy, 24, emerged as Jacksonville's RB1 in 2024, leading the Jags in carries (168), rushing yards (766), yards per carry (4.6) and rushing touchdowns. While he's unlikely to yield a huge load of carries, he's a versatile player who is also known to make an impact in the return game.
Here's what you need to know about the deal that brought Bigsby to the City of Brotherly Love.
Tank Bigsby trade details
Eagles receive:
- RB Tank Bigsby
Jaguars receive:
- 2026 fifth-round pick
- 2026 sixth-round pick
According to NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark, Bigsby is expected to get major reps as a return man. His production last season appears to suggest that he could get some bump in the backfield, although The Athletic's Brooks Kubena reported that Philadelphia is happy with its current RB setup. Bigsby's acquisition reportedly has nothing to do with the rib injury Will Shipley sustained in the Eagles' win over the Cowboys last week.
