Election Day has passed, but the politics of college football are in full swing. As coaches leave for greener pastures and conference talking heads babble for bragging rights, an imperfect playoff system has once again created a mess of a sport shrouded in chaos.
But the regular season is over. The games have been played. It's time to focus on the 2026 NFL Draft and the several-month circuit that will shape an offseason's worth of narratives.
One key fixture is the Senior Bowl in Mobile, where prospects will hope to put quality reps on tape against Sunday-bound competition to improve their draft stocks. As usual, the quarterbacks will take center stage, and the first round of invitations has finally been accepted.
Which quarterbacks are headed to the Senior Bowl?
It hasn't taken long for prospects on non-playoff contenders to set their sights on the NFL. Neither the Baylor Bears nor the Arkansas Razorbacks had much success in 2025. They aren't bowl-eligible, but there's a good argument for both that their quarterbacks weren't the problem.
Now, both are bound for Mobile.
Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson is the prototypical Big-12 passer, and he made a case as the best draft-eligible quarterback in Texas this season. Arch Manning's second half put that to bed, but the production profile is worth monitoring.
Robertson led the conference in completions (304), attempts (504), yards (3,681), and touchdowns (31). Racking up 500 attempts in a season is something some first-round picks don't accomplish in their college careers. He'll finish the amateur circuit with 1,000 attempts to his name. As far as preparing for the next level, that's nothing to sniff at.
Robertson can run hot and cold, but he isn't necessarily raw. He's aggressive -- at times to a fault -- but that's more of his DNA than something to iron out. He avoids sacks well, gets the ball out quickly, and is willing to stretch the fields. Those under-the-hood factors bode well for early production.
However, Robertson's scattershot accuracy remains the biggest limiting factor in his profile. It's hard to build an offense without hitting layups, and poor throws can inflate his turnover-worthy play rate by adding to mental mistakes. Across a week of practices, those missed throws could define his Senior Bowl, creating memorable (but preventable) miscues.

Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green, meanwhile, offers a blend of experience and athleticism that could earn a team's trust. There are real inconsistencies here, too, throwing 11 interceptions in 2025.
Green has plenty of experience, and I'm confident he can keep the offensive train on the track in limited doses. He likes to get out of structure and has the physical tools to win while doing so, too. Still, the negative flashes are maddening. Things unraveled for a two-win Arkansas team down the stretch, and while playing from behind the eight ball, the Razorbacks got all of Green's flaws with little playmaking as a passer.
Green has a lot to prove in Mobile, but his ability to command the offense pre-snap and win within structure could boost his stock, especially when the bullets aren't flying.
Ultimately, these are two prospects who profile as acceptable backup options. Robertson's production and flashes of upside from the pocket will likely land him higher on boards, but there's enough overlap for either one to come out ahead with a strong All-Star circuit. Both should be considered Day 3 picks, albeit with Robertson earning some more mid-round hype.
It isn't immediately clear who will be joining these two under center, but having two quarterbacks with questions to answer at the Senior Bowl makes for a worthwhile week in Mobile.
