The final Monday night matchup of the 2025 NFL season has arrived.
Wrapping up Week 17, the Atlanta Falcons will be hosting the Los Angeles Rams on "Monday Night Football," with each team having differing playoff outlooks. For the 6-9 Falcons, postseason hopes have already evaporated, while the 11-4 Rams are still eyeing improved playoff seeding in the NFC.
Even without any playoff outlook, Raheem Morris' unit should have plenty of motivation to continue winning on Monday night — the Falcons owe the Rams their 2026 first-round pick after the teams made a 2025 draft day deal. Atlanta's young defensive pieces have hit a stride lately, and the Falcons come into Week 17 on a two-game win streak as Kirk Cousins returned as their starting quarterback.
Monday's matchup could also factor into the 2025 MVP race, as Matthew Stafford appears to be in a back-and-forth battle with Patriots quarterback Drake Maye for the honor. After Maye diced up the Jets for five touchdown passes on Sunday, Stafford will be looking to answer and continue building his MVP case for a 40-touchdown, five-interception campaign thus far.

The Panthers have two routes to the NFC South title

- Falcons win out (creates potential three-way-tie at 8-9 where CAR wins head-to-head tiebreakers over TB and ATL) pic.twitter.com/GFgo0xFkWb
