Josh Jacobs has made the lead tailback role his own since joining the Packers via free agency in 2024.
The 27-year-old ranks eighth in the league in rushing yards since the start of the 2024 season. Although his production has lagged slightly in 2025, he remains one of the NFL's true workhorses.
That makes his absence in Green Bay's Week 12 matchup with the Vikings all the more glaring. With Jacobs on the mend with a knee injury, the Packers will look for other options as they attempt to outgun a Minnesota defense that can, at times, prove harrowing.
With that, here's a look at Green Bay's RB depth chart in Week 12.

Packers RB depth chart
| Position | Player |
| 1 | Josh Jacobs |
| 2 | Emanuel Wilson |
| 3 | Chris Brooks |
| 4 | Pierre Strong Jr. |
Emanuel Wilson
Wilson figures to handle the lion's share of carries in Jacobs' absence. He's been a steady presence in Matt LaFleur's attack, fielding at least six carries in six games this season. Wilson tallied 502 yards and four touchdowns last year and should be considered a solid option to replicate some of Jacobs' production.
Chris Brooks
Brooks is a bit of an unknown commodity, only tallying three carries thus far this campaign. The undrafted tailback has shown flashes as a pass-catcher, although it's unclear just how much he'll feature on Sunday afternoon and going forward.
Pierre Strong Jr.
Strong has three seasons of NFL action under his belt. He has never shined for too long, topping out at 63 carries and 291 yards in 2022 with the Browns. He's been a practice squad regular for Green Bay in 2025, although he could fetch some additional run with Jacobs on the sidelines.

Josh Jacobs injury update
Jacobs suffered a knee contusion during the Packers' Week 11 clash with the Giants. He was held out of Sunday's game out of precaution, although Jacobs is planning on missing just one game, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.
