For some teams, the 2025 season is already about draft positioning.
Through a quarter of the NFL season New York Jets, Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints each have 0-4 records, failing to get a win in the first four weeks of the season. All three of these teams have failed to deliver on any season expectations, and fans have already started looking towards 2026.
The Jets, Titans and Saints have all shown fight in some games, and in some, they got blown out. One thing remains the same for all of them: they all ended in a loss.
Here's a look at the NFL's three winless teams after Week 4.
NFL winless teams
New York Jets
The Jets hold the NFL's longest playoff drought — and are tied for first for the longest drought in the four major professional sports — and it looks like another year is going to be added on.
Through four weeks, the Jets have lost two curshers on a game-winning field goal against the Buccaneers and a field-goal inside the two minute warning against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They've also lost two games where they constantly shot themselves in the foot, losing against the Buffalo Bills 30-10 and the Miami Dolphins 27-21.
The Jets have had critical plays derail their early 2025 season.
- Former quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdowns in the season opener
- In a 30-10 loss to Buffalo, a critical roughing the passer set up the Bills, and Justin Fields fumbled on the next play
- Against Tampa Bay, the Jets came back from down 23-6, only to give up a game-winning field goal
- In the Miami game, Braelon Allen fumbled on the one-yard line on New York's opening drive that would have given them the lead
New York, who hasn't made the postseason since 2011, is en route to another season failure. The Jets have had a losing record in every year since 2015 dating back to their past playoff appearance, and it looks to be trending that way after an 0-4 start.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans had the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and as that pick Cam Ward said postgame, "If we keep it a buck right now, we ass."
Ward did not mince words after the Titans have opened the season losing a quarter of their games. While the quarterback has showed potential —he's thrown for 614 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions — he has not been perfect. Through four games, Ward has a completion percentage of only 51.2%
The Titans defense has been a major problem, giving up 20 points in every game. But on Sunday against the Texans, the offense was the problem, getting shutout by a fellow winless team. Tennessee has lost two games by double digits, and in the past two weeks were blown out by AFC South opponents.
Tennessee had three wins in 2024 and six in 2023, and so far in 2025, it doesn't look on track to match either of those totals.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints were expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL, and though they have shown fight, the only thing that matters is a win.
New Orleans has lost two games by single digits, and in Week 4 against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, the team stuck around. The Saints defense held Allen to only 209 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, but they could not stop Buffalo after New Orleans cut the game to 21-19.
Signal-caller Spencer Rattler has had a quietly good season. He's thrown for 765 yards, five touchdowns and an interception. Though, it has not mattered with a defense that has allowed over 30 points per game.
New Orleans does not have an immediate solution in the quarterback room and in early mock drafts have slated as the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
