The NFL is entering the final month of regular-season play, with plenty of playoff positions to be determined, milestones to be reached and individual performances that could wind up in the record books.

Here's what to watch for in NFL Week 14 action:

Baker Mayfield cooking for Cleveland

Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has had a historic rookie season and is poised to keep that momentum going.

Mayfield has thrown at least one touchdown pass in each of his first nine NFL starts. With one more Sunday against the Panthers, he would become just the third quarterback in the Super Bowl era to record at least one touchdown pass in each of his first 10 career starts.

The players to accomplish the feat dating back to 1966:

Zach Ertz on the attack

Eagles tight end Zach Ertz has already secured several franchise records in his breakout season and is on the verge of another impressive milestone.

Ertz ranks second in the league with 93 receptions and second among tight ends with 978 receiving yards this season. If he can manage seven receptions and 22 receiving yards Sunday in the team's NFC East clash with the Cowboys, he would become just the fourth tight end in NFL history to record at least 100 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards in a single season.

Saquon Barkley's scrimmage success

Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley has set all kinds of records so far this season, but he isn't done yet.

Barkley leads the league with 11 games of at least 100 scrimmage yards this season. If he can do it again Sunday against the Redskins, he would tie Edgerrin James for the second-most games with at least 100 scrimmage yards by a rookie in NFL history. Should he keep up that pace, Barkley could even best Eric Dickerson, the only player who has more such games.

Frank Gore fighting for fifth all-time

Dolphins running back Frank Gore could cap his 14th NFL season with record-breaking performance.

Gore boasts 18,414 career scrimmage yards and would surpass LaDainian Tomlinson for the fifth-most in league annals if he can log at least 43 scrimmage yards in Sunday's AFC East matchup against the Patriots.

Aaron Donald continues domination

Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald has proved he was worth the record six-year, $135 million contract extension he signed before the start of the season.

Donald leads the NFL with 16.5 sacks and has recorded at least two sacks in each of his past three games. If he can manage two sacks in the team's Sunday night showdown with the Bears, he would become the fourth player since 1982 to record at least two sacks in four consecutive games in a single season.
